A data class that holds a configuration parameter value and additional associated metadata.

The metadata includes the sub-path of the corresponding datapoint in the Persistent Configuration Repository; and the configuration location from which the value was loaded, e.g. from a command line argument, the Persistent Configuration Repository, or an internal default value, etc.
