Monthly report for December 1999 by Christian A. Hummel: Hummel investigated fringe identification and tracking algorithms with NPOI raw data, using interactive code written in IDL. Hummel helped with the APD fiber preparation and dewar installation. A proposal, submitted in collaboration with A. Hajian and T. Forveille, to obtain radial velocities of spectroscopic binaries was accepted by the Observatoire de Haute Provence. Hummel introduced AD scientists to NPOI data analysis with OYSTER, and helped with the first off-site installation of this software at SUNY Stonybrook.
