Monthly report for February 2002 by Christian A. Hummel:

Hummel wrote a simulator for NPOI 6-way fringe frames and tested
bias corrections for closure phases and triple amplitudes in the
presence of Poisson noise.

Hummel reanalyzed archived NPOI 3-way data on IM Peg including
proper bias corrections, and communicated the results to M. Ratner
(CfA) who made the request as this star is the target for Gravity
Probe B.

Hummel scheduled several NPOI observations, and reduced data from
about nine nights. He made an image showing all three components
of the triple system Eta Virginis. Hummel helped prepare a press
release on the new NPOI 6-way observations. He also put together
a page for the NPOI public pages providing more detail on the
observations.
