Monthly report for January 2001 by Christian A. Hummel: Hummel attended the 197th meeting of the AAS in San Diego and presented a poster on "Astrometry with NPOI". Hummel fabricated five posters for the upcoming tours of NPOI. They cover results from astrometry (3) and binaries (2). Hummel created an astrometry observing list for this season and reduced three astrometry nights with NPOI, and one white-light test. He successfully tested his dispersion correction code on archival data of stars of magnitude 5.5 and 5.8. Hummel wrote software to convert closure phase data to baseline phases as part of the preparations of the NPOI data reduction software for six-station operations. He tested the result using the radio-VLA/VLBI "Difmap" software.
