Monthly report for May 2000 by Christian A. Hummel: Hummel helped cleaning feed pipes on three days at NPOI in Flagstaff. Hummel participated in a proposal to SIM which includes NPOI observing of binaries in order to determine stellar masses. Hummel studied the dependence of the visibility amplitude on the coherent integration time for NPOI data, and, based on a paper by Davis and Tango (1996), concluded that the corrections are significant for NPOI too. Hummel helped with the reduction and interpretation of new APD test data. Hummel attended the quarterly meeting of NPOI in Flagstaff, where he presented results from his raw data analysis.
