Monthly report for October 1997 by Christian A. Hummel: I recalibrated some of the Mizar A data and performed a simultaneous fit of the orbit to spectroscopy and interferometry. I computed the synthesized beam dimensions for every night as an estimate for positional uncertainty ellipses. I used the Hipparcos orbital solution for the photocenter of Eta Pegasi and the Mark III relative orbit to determine the masses for this single-lined binary. About 31 systems with Hipparcos solutions are bright enough for us to observe.
