Release Notes for the April2002 Scisoft IV Collection

Please consult the file /scisoft/PACKAGES for a complete list of the
contents.

This list applies to all 3 supported platforms. Where there are
platform dependent differences these are noted.

Items not mentioned here are unchanged from the previous release
of July 2001.    

All updated items replace the previous versions.

*** Important platform support note: ***

This release of Scisoft runs on HPUX 11 and will NOT in general run on 
HPUX 10.20. Machines which are HPUX 10.20 should stay on versions I or II
of Scisoft. This release was also built on Solaris 8 and it is possible
that some software will not work on older SUN hardware/software although
in general there are unlikely to be problems.
