prefix_name Restore UV data, models and windows from files. EXAMPLE ------- 0>get 3c345 Attempting to open FITS file: 3c345.uvf ... details of UV FITS file contents A total of 94 model components were read from file 3c345.mod rwins: Read 3 windows from 3c345.win 0> PARAMETERS ---------- prefix_name - All the required files must have this as there prefix followed by the standard suffixes listed below. STANDARD SUFFIXES ----------------- To the prefix name that you enter the following extensions are appended to indicate the file type: .uvf - The suffix of the UV-FITS data file. .mod - The suffix of any model file. .win - The suffix of any windows file. CONTEXT ------- Before leaving difmap it is important to save all processed data unless the data is to be discarded. The 'save' command provides a convenient method for saving all relevant data with a single command. The 'get' command provides the matching facility for reading the files back into difmap. Note that it doesn't read the FITS restored map file. IMPORTANT --------- The get command does not restore the running parameters (such as the UV weighting and map size) to the states that they held when the save command was called - it only restores the data files. To do this don't use the 'get' command directly. Instead execute the .par file command file that was produced with the save command (in the above example this file would be called 3c345.par). This file contains all the commands necessary to restore both the data files and the state of all running parameters. See help on the 'save' command for more details. RELATED COMMANDS ---------------- save - Save UV data, models, windows, the restored map and a command file to use to restore the running parameters. rwins - Read previously saved CLEAN windows from a text file. rmodel - Read a CLEAN model from a VLBI model file.
