uvmin, uvmax, uvstep Select the UV radius ranges to be displayed by specplot. EXAMPLES -------- 1. To see what UV ranges are currently selected, omit all arguments. 0>specuvr Specplot UV range: uvmin=0 uvmax=151.407 uvstep=10 (kilo-wavelengths) 0> 2. To restrict the UV range to 10 -> 30 kilo-wavelengths. 0>specuvr 10,30 Specplot UV range: uvmin=10 uvmax=30 uvstep=20 (kilo-wavelengths) 0> 3. To see how the spectrum averaged over all baselines, changes with UV radius range. 0>specuvr 0, 0, 10 Specplot UV range: uvmin=0 uvmax=151.407 uvstep=10 (kilo-wavelengths) 0>specorder uvrange Specplot selection order: uvrange 0>specbase group, * Specplot will plot baseline groups: * 0>specplot ARGUMENTS --------- uvmin - Initial default=0.0 The minimum UV radius to take visibilities from, measured in the wavelength units last established with the mapunits command. By default this is mega-wavelengths. uvmax - Default=Max UV radius in data. The maximum UV radius to take visibilities from, or 0.0 to select the maximum UV radius available in the data. uvstep - Default = (uvmax - uvmin) The UV radius increment between spectra, measured in the same units as uvmin and uvmax. To see what the current values of these arguments are, invoke the specuvr command without any arguments. CONTEXT ------- The specplot command plots scalar and vector averaged visibility spectra. Visibilities are selected by polarization, time range, UV radius range, and baseline selections. The specuvr command is responsible for supplying UV radius ranges. Where more than one UV radius range is given (ie uvstep < uvmax-uvmin), spectra can be plotted for each range separately. The 'specorder' command can be used to direct when to change from one UV radius range to the next while plotting spectra. RELATED COMMANDS ---------------- specplot - Plot time-averaged visibility spectra. specopt - Preset specplot display options. specsmooth - Preset the spectral resolution displayed by specplot. specorder - Set the order in which spectra are to be displayed. specbase - Select baselines to be displayed by specplot. specpol - Select the list of polarizations to be displayed by specplot. spectime - Select time ranges to be displayed by specplot.
