Name
dumppix - dump pixels from a FITS image/cube to stdout

Synopsis
       dumppix [-s rate] [-x col] [-y lin] image.fits

Description
dumppix dumps pixel values from a FITS file to stdout in a
format that can be read by gnuplot to display surfaces for
example. As an image may contain too many pixels for use-
ful surface display, a subsampling factor may be applied
before dumping pixels (see -s option).

Upon request, dumppix can only output the content of one
line or one column instead of the whole image (see -x and
       -y options).

Options
       -s rate
Applies a brutal subsampling rate in x and y on the
pixels before dumping. Default is set to 1 (all
pixels). Setting this to 2 would skip 1 pixel out
of 2 in each direction, for example.

-x col Output only the contents of column "col". The sub-
sampling rate can also be applied here. The conven-
tion for pixel positions is FITS: x goes from 1 to
              NAXIS1.

-y lin Output only the contents of line "lin". The subsam-
pling rate can also be applied here. The convention
for pixel positions is FITS: y goes from 1 to
              NAXIS2.

Files
Input files can be images, cubes, or ASCII lists.
