gcon - read context information from context image and write to text file
gcon image contab
- image = "" [file name]
- The name of an input context image files from which the context information is to be read.
- contab = "" [file name]
- The name for a text file into which the context table information will be written.
This task is a simple utility for extracting context information from the header of a context image and writing it to a text file on disk.In order to avoid excessively long headers the "header context table" is actually stored in a text file when there are more than a specified (currently 20) number of contexts appropriate to that image. These table files normally are named <context image name>.CON and should not be deleted or separated from their parent image files.
To read the context information from the context image "test.context.hhh" and write it into the text file TCONTABgcon test.context.hhh TCONTAB
It only takes a very short time.
