The lines to be fitted and all the relevant parameters are stored in three tables, in the format used by FIT/LYMAN. This command is designed for the user who, having previously defined a line configuration using FIT/LYMAN, wants to perform a fit without re-entering in the program, either after direct modification of some input tables, or of a different spectrum\\ When a non-interactive fit of different line systems is needed, use command BATCH/LYMAN. \up\sy Syntax: FIT/DIRECT [spec] [outtab] [log] [session] [graph (Y/N)] \\ \ys\pa spec = table with input spectrum \\ Must contain at least 4 columns: :WAVE,:NORMFLUX,:STDEV,:FWHM.\\ default: last file used (i.e. that stored in SPECTRUMTABLE descriptorof LYPAR.tbl) \\ \ap\pa outtab = table with result of fitting procedure\\ default: last file used (i.e. that stored in OUTTAB descriptorof LYPAR.tbl) \\ \ap\pa log = name of log tables, where a record of the fitting operations is kept.\\ default: last file used (i.e. that stored in LOGNAME descriptorof LYPAR.tbl) \\ \ap\pa session = name of an older session of FIT/LYMAN for the definition of lines\\ By default, the current session is used (i.e. the values stored in the tables LYPAR, LYLIM and LYMIN) \\ \ap\pa graph = Flag for plot of fitted lines. Default is N \\ \ap\sa See also: FIT/LYMAN,BATCH/LYMAN, \as \exs
