SECTION./ drs - execute Data Reduction System commands (in this case Midas) directly from Unix If the environment variable MIDVERS is not set explicitely, the current default version of Midas is used. $ drs `any_Midas_command' will execute `any_Midas_command' using Midas (.bdf) or FITS files. This method works without the overhead involved when executing $ inmidas -j `any_Midas_command' and is thus much faster. For more info: $ drs -h displays a short help about the command. Currently, the following limitations exist: 1) no display capabilities 2) no graphics capabilities OJO: Please, note, that the environment variable DAZUNIT (which is used internally in Midas) must NOT be set when executing the `drs' command! In other words, Midas> $drs `any_Midas_command' will NOT work. Garching, May 2000
