              Make given catalog the "active" fit file catalog.

                   defaulted to 'fcatalog.cat'

Note:    
              After having enabled a fit file catalog, fit files may either be
              accessed by their name or by their sequence number in the enabled
              ( = currently active) catalog.

              Also for each newly created fit file an entry is added to the
              active fit file catalog.
