ECHELLE is a package for the calibration of echelle spectra. The package
provides a set of about 40 commands to perform the reduction, most of
them having the qualifier ECHELLE. These commands are structured in four
main MIDAS procedures to perform complete steps of reduction.

The main functions implemnted in these four high-level procedures are:

  -  CALIBRATE/ECHELLE  performs order definition and wavelength calibration
  -  FLAT/ECHELLE       prepares correction frames for flat-field correction
  -  RESPONSE/ECHELLE   estimates a response function from a standard-star sp.
  -  REDUCE/ECHELLE     optionally corrects for flat-field and response
                        and produces a mono-dimensional spectrum.
