LONG is a standard-reduction package for the reduction of one-dimensional
and long-slit spectra. It provides about 50 commands to perform the 
differents steps of the reduction. The present LONG package replaces since
the 93NOV version both previous versions of long-slit and one-dimensional 
spectroscopy packages. For backward compatibility of user-defined 
procedures, the 92NOV versions of these packages are available as LONG92
and SPEC92.
