Extend current XGobi file set Root file name Specify fname, the base name for the new file set. This is likely to be the same as the base name for the current data, but it doesn't have to be. If saving S files, don't specify the path. Otherwise, do. Save .bin file Save the data in binary format. This is useful for very large data files, because it speeds up initialization quite noticeably. Save .colors file 'fname.colors' contains strings representing the color names. Save .resources file Store a few critical layout features for this data (the width and height of the plotting window, the width of the variable selection panel) and several logical variables set using the options menu (showAxes, showPoints, etcetera). Store that information in a file named fname.resources (where fname is the name of the current data) and it will be retrieved when you next start XGobi using this same data.
